2 provisions identified: 0 benefits, 0 costs, 2 mixed.

2034 Winter Games coins and fees

If enacted, the Treasury would be allowed to sell special coins for the 2034 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games during 2034 only. Four coin types would be authorized with the same mintage caps and specs as the 2028 program: up to 100,000 $5 gold coins, 500,000 $1 silver coins, 300,000 half‑dollars, and 100,000 five‑ounce $1 proof silver coins. Each coin would sell for face value plus a set surcharge ($35, $10, $5, and $50 respectively) and the Treasury's issuing costs. The Secretary must recover all issuing costs before any surcharge money is paid to the 2034 Organizing Committee, and that committee would be subject to federal audit rules. The Secretary could offer bulk or prepaid discounts, consult on designs, and increase mintages only if independent market research by the Organizing Committee shows higher demand. No surcharge could be added in a year if doing so would exceed the two commemorative-program limit for that calendar year.

Special 2028 Olympic coins and fees

If enacted, the Treasury would be allowed to sell special coins for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic and Paralympic Games during 2028 only. Four coin types would be authorized with mintage caps: up to 100,000 $5 gold coins, 500,000 $1 silver coins, 300,000 half‑dollars, and 100,000 large five‑ounce $1 proof silver coins. Each coin's sale price would equal face value plus a set surcharge ($35, $10, $5, and $50 respectively) and the Treasury's cost to design and issue the coins. The Secretary must recover all issuing costs before any surcharge money is paid to the United States Olympic and Paralympic Properties, and recipients would be subject to federal audit rules. The Secretary could offer bulk or prepaid discounts, consult on designs, and increase mintages only if independent market research by the Olympic body shows the need. No surcharge could be added in a year if doing so would exceed the two commemorative-program limit for that calendar year.
