Seasonal farm CDL and equipment rules
If enacted, the bill would define key terms for seasonal restricted commercial driver's licenses on enactment. The Secretary would have one year after enactment to revise two CFR rules. States could then offer online registration and renewal for eligible seasonal restricted CDLs. Online renewal would be allowed only if applicants meet all other program terms. The rule changes would also say implements of husbandry are not commercial motor vehicles. They would not be counted in gross combination weight rating or gross combination weight.
