Summary
Full-year contraceptive supply for VA patients. This bill would require the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to ensure veterans enrolled under 38 U.S.C. 1705 who receive a VA medical prescription may elect to obtain a 12-month supply of contraceptive pills, transdermal patches, vaginal rings, and other contraceptive products. VA providers would have to offer the full-year option and notify eligible veterans. The bill adds a new section 1720M to title 38 and defines "contraceptive product" by the specified FDA and Public Health Service approval authorities.
