VA DBQ fraud checks and protections
If enacted, the bill would require VA to run regular audits of disability benefits questionnaires (DBQs). VA staff would have to report suspected DBQ fraud to investigators, including the VA Office of Inspector General. The VA would have to tell you if your DBQ is flagged for suspected fraud. The VA would be barred from reopening or changing a benefit decision because of those investigations unless the person is convicted of fraud.
