More VA transparency on toxic exposure
This bill would require the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to publish on a public VA website a list of conditions and groups being reviewed for presumptions of service connection tied to toxic exposure. The list would include an overview of the VA process with steps, goals, and time frames for each step. For each condition or group, the list would show the current status and what notice or public comment actions the VA has taken. The list would explain how the public can submit comments and recommendations. The VA would have to start this publication within 180 days after enactment. The publication would provide transparency only and would not itself create new presumptions or funding.
