Summary

Authorizes one-year mining of specified federal coal on about 800 acres in Musselshell County, Montana. The bill would allow mining of Federal coal leased under MTM 97988 on the NE quarter of section 8, the SW quarter of section 10, and the west half of the SE quarter of section 22 in Township 6 North, Range 27 East. Mining is limited to the Bull Mountains Mining Plan Modification (Amendment 3) that the Department of the Interior's Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary concurred with on November 18, 2020. The authorization would last one year from enactment and is conditioned on the Secretary of the Interior approving that mining plan modification without changes within 30 days after enactment.
