More maternal vaccine outreach funding
If enacted, the bill would expand a federal maternal vaccination awareness campaign to explicitly include pregnant and postpartum individuals and obstetric care settings. It would add a new activity to increase vaccination rates among pregnant and postpartum people, including racial and ethnic minority groups, and their children. It would also authorize $17 million per year for the campaign for fiscal years 2027 through 2031. That is $2 million more per year than the prior $15 million authorization; Congress would still need to approve funding through appropriations.
