20-Year Extension for Rural Hospitals
This bill would extend the Rural Community Hospital Demonstration from a 15-year extension period to a 20-year extension period. It would require the HHS Secretary to apply the paragraph (4) protections to rural community hospitals that participate at any time between December 30, 2024 and January 1, 2027 during the fourth five-year segment. The change would take effect upon enactment. The bill would not add new funding or change payment rates in the demonstration.
