More federal menopause research and coordination

If enacted, the bill would authorize $25,000,000 per year for FY2027–FY2031 for NIH and related research on menopause and mid‑life women’s health. The NIH Director would coordinate and expand research, add RCDC categories for menopause, and fund translational studies to turn research into care. HHS would expand outreach to medical and research schools and coordinate activities with VA, the Department of Defense, and other agencies.

New menopause Centers of Excellence

If enacted, HHS would designate and fund Centers of Excellence in Menopause Care to train providers and deliver evidence‑based clinical services. Centers would be prioritized in health professional shortage areas and medically underserved communities and must report annually. Funding is authorized as "such sums as necessary" for FY2027–FY2031.

Grants to train menopause health providers

If enacted, HHS would award $10,000,000 per year for FY2027–FY2031 in grants to accredited schools, hospitals, and residency programs. Grants would create or expand residencies, fellowships, and other training to improve care for perimenopause, menopausal symptoms, and related conditions.

National menopause outreach, research, and reports

If enacted, HHS would run a national awareness, education, and outreach program with $10,000,000 per year for FY2027–FY2031. The bill would also fund public‑health research, a public dashboard, occupational health research, and grants with $10,000,000 per year for FY2027–FY2031. HHS would report to Congress on progress not later than 2 years after enactment and annually after, and release an access‑to‑care report within 2 years.
