Direct $5.0 billion aid for specialty crop producers. This bill would provide a FY2027 appropriation of $5.0 billion to the Secretary of Agriculture to make payments to producers of specialty crops through the Assistance for Specialty Crop Farmers program or a substantially similar program run under Commodity Credit Corporation authority. Payments must follow the terms of the January 8, 2025 “Notice; Marketing Assistance for Specialty Crops” and the funds would remain available until expended. *This bill would add $5.0 billion in federal spending for FY2027, increasing outlays.*
