Tiananmen Square Memorial Act of 2026
Sponsored By: Senator Scott, Rick [R-FL]
Introduced
Summary
Would designate a stretch of International Place NW in Washington, DC, as Tiananmen Square Memorial Boulevard. It would also rename the street address 3505 International Place NW to 1 Tiananmen Square Memorial Boulevard. The bill treats any legal, map, regulation, or official reference to that area or address as a reference to the new name. It would direct the General Services Administration to install signs reading "Tiananmen Square Memorial Boulevard" modeled after District Metro signs at the federal parcel nearest 1 Tiananmen Square Memorial Boulevard and at the corners of International Drive NW with Van Ness Street NW and with International Place NW.
