Summary
Allows new fencing technology in emergency conservation payments. This bill would let the Emergency Conservation Program pay for repair or replacement of fencing that updates to new or emerging technologies as long as the update does not increase the overall cost of the repair or replacement. Farmers and ranchers with damaged fences could adopt modern fencing options while keeping eligibility for emergency fencing aid.
