Stronger rules on AI political ads

If enacted, this bill would expand federal campaign fraud rules to cover content made in whole or in part with artificial intelligence. It would ban pretending to be a candidate, party, or political group to get money or personal data. It would broaden who can be held liable, including any candidate, political party, real or fictitious committee or organization, and their employees or agents. The change would cover both fake claims of campaign authority and fraudulent fundraising solicitations and would take effect upon enactment.
