If enacted, this resolution would direct the President to remove United States Armed Forces from hostilities in or against Iran. The removal would happen unless Congress issues a declaration of war or a specific authorization for use of military force. It would not stop defending the United States or its people and facilities abroad. It would still allow collecting and sharing intelligence on threats from Iran or its proxies and helping allies, including Israel, with defensive support and materiel. If enacted, it would take effect upon enactment.
