Blocks H-2A wage rule for employers
If enacted, this bill would disapprove a Department of Labor rule on how H-2A wages are set (90 Fed. Reg. 47914; Oct. 2, 2025). The specified DOL rule would have no force or effect. Employers who hire H-2A workers would keep the older wage-rate rules and could face lower hiring costs than under the proposed rule. H-2A nonimmigrant workers' pay rules would remain unchanged and might not increase. The disapproval would take effect upon enactment.
