2 provisions identified: 2 benefits, 0 costs, 0 mixed.
Allow evacuations and defensive intelligence sharing
If enacted, the resolution would not stop the U.S. from defending against attacks on the United States or its personnel and facilities abroad. It would allow assistance to secure, depart, and evacuate U.S. citizens affected by hostilities. It would allow assisting partner countries attacked by Iran since February 28, 2026 with defensive materiel support. It would allow collecting, analyzing, and sharing intelligence about threats from Iran and its proxies, including with partners such as Israel.
Limit U.S. military action in Iran
If enacted, the resolution would direct the President to remove United States Armed Forces from hostilities in or against Iran unless Congress declares war or passes a specific authorization for use of military force. Forces could remain only with explicit congressional authorization. This would constrain continued U.S. combat engagements and could change deployments, missions, and risks for service members and military families.
