Faster out-of-state provider access for children

If enacted, this bill would let certain out-of-state providers enroll faster to treat children under 21 on Medicaid or CHIP. States would have to offer a streamlined process that asks only the minimum data (for example, provider name and National Provider Identifier) set by the Secretary. Eligible providers must be located in another State, have a low fraud-risk screening record under Medicare or the other State's Medicaid program, and not be excluded or terminated from federal or State programs. Enrollment granted under this process would last five years unless the provider is later excluded or terminated. These changes would take effect three years after enactment.
