The tenure, compensation, and duties as provided by law of the city manager shall be enumerated in a contract between the city manager and the city. The contract
shall not exceed two years in length with two, one-year renewal options. Commencing on October 1, 2009, the contract shall not exceed four years in length with two, one-year renewal options.
