This chapter supersedes state criminal and civil laws pertaining to the recommending, acquisition, possession, use, cultivation, manufacturing, processing, research and development, and sale of medical cannabis. The acquisition, possession, use, cultivation, manufacturing, processing, research and development, transportation, testing, or sale of cannabis or medical cannabis in
compliance with this chapter and rules of the commission does not constitute a violation of Article 5 of Chapter 12 of Title 13A, or any other law to the contrary.
