Place of President Pro Tempore of the Senate.

(a) Whenever any act of the Legislature provides that the President Pro Tempore of the Senate is designated a member of a multi-member body, the President Pro Tempore may designate a person to serve in his or her place as follows:

(1) If the body is composed exclusively of members of the Legislature or members of the Legislature and the Lieutenant Governor, the President Pro Tempore of the Senate may designate a member of the Senate to serve in place of the President Pro Tempore. (2) If the body is not composed exclusively of members of the Legislature or members of the Legislature and the Lieutenant Governor, the President Pro Tempore of the Senate may designate any person to serve in place of the President Pro Tempore.

(b) Designees shall serve at the pleasure of the appointing authority.

(c) This section applies to multi-member bodies in existence or subsequently created.
