The board may waive the requirements for registration and grant registration to any applicant who submits proof of current registration as an interior designer in another state, the District of Columbia, or a territory of the United States that
requires standards for registration which are substantially equivalent to those required in this state and gives similar reciprocity to registered interior designers of this state.
