(a) The Blount County Commission may appropriate from the county general fund an amount not exceeding two thousand five hundred dollars ($2,500) for each fiscal year, for a contingent fund to be used for any purpose the commission may deem appropriate. (b) Any funds appropriated for a fiscal year which remain unexpended at the end of the fiscal year shall revert to the county general fund.
