The mayor elected hereunder shall receive an annual salary of $65,000.00. Thereafter, the mayor’s salary shall be established as provided in section 11-44C-18, but in no event shall said salary be less than $65,000.00 per annum. (Acts 1985, No. 85-229, p. 96, §35.)
