For the purposes of this article, the following terms have the following meanings: (1) GOVERNING BOARD. The body charged with policy direction of any public institution of higher education, including, but not limited to, the board of trustees. (2) PUBLIC INSTITUTION OF HIGHER EDUCATION or INSTITUTION. A four-year public institution of higher education in this state. (Act 2026-432, §2.)
