Effect of Chapter on Preexisting Rights, Obligations, Etc

This chapter shall not be construed to alter, impair, defeat, or restore any rights, obligations, duties, or interest accrued, incurred, conferred, or terminated prior to January 1, 1997. (Acts 1996, No. 96-537, p. 751, §2.)
