(a) The United States Space Force was established onDecember 20, 2019, under the National Defense AuthorizationAct as the first new branch of the United States Armed Forcesin 73 years. (b) The mission of the United State Space Force is toconduct global space operations to enhance joint and coalitionmilitary operation.
