ALEA may procure the equipment and technology necessary to operate a photographic speed enforcement system pursuant to the state procurement law. The procurement shall not be considered a contract for professional services. The system may be operated using manual, handheld, or unmanned devices capable of being mounted to a vehicle. ALEA shall have sole discretion on selecting a vendor or vendors. (Act 2026-475, §18.)
