The County Commission of Lauderdale County, in its sole discretion, may set the monthly expense allowance for the county coroner payable from county funds not to exceed one thousand dollars ($1,000) per month total expense allowance. (Act 79-682, p. 1213, §1; Act 99-334, p. 466, §1.)
