(a) (1) This chapter shall be liberally construed to accomplish the intent and purposes thereof and shall be the sole authority required for the accomplishment of those purposes.(2) To this end, it shall not be necessary to comply with general provisions of other laws dealing with public commodities and public facilities, their acquisition, construction, leasing, encumbering, or disposition, if the Board of Corrections and the regional corrections commission shall comply with § 12-50-106.

(2) To this end, it shall not be necessary to comply with general provisions of other laws dealing with public commodities and public facilities, their acquisition, construction, leasing, encumbering, or disposition, if the Board of Corrections and the regional corrections commission shall comply with § 12-50-106.

(b) The enumeration of any object, purpose, power, manner, method, and thing shall not be deemed to exclude like or similar objects, purposes, powers, manners, methods, or things.
