(1) Nothing in this subchapter shall be construed to prohibit:(1) The discharge of a firearm or archery equipment in the defense of life or property;(2) The discharge of a firearm or archery equipment at a public or private shooting range or gallery; or(3) The discharge of a firearm by a law enforcement officer in the performance of his or her duty.
