(1) The Department of Health shall:(1) Administer the provisions of this chapter;(2) Enforce the rules promulgated by the State Board of Health for the administration and enforcement of this chapter;(3) Employ and prescribe the duties of employees as may be necessary to administer the provisions of this chapter;(4) Issue initial and renewal licenses to qualified applicants who provide perfusion services; and(5) Collect fees for licensure and accept public and private gifts, grants, and donations for the purpose of administering this chapter.
