Legal actions by debt collectors

Ark. Code Ann. § 17-24-510

(a) A debt collector who brings a legal action on a debt against a consumer shall:(1) For an action to enforce an interest in real property securing the consumer's obligation, bring the action in the county where all or part of the real property is located; or(2) For an action not described in subdivision (a)(1) of this section, bring the action only in the county:(A) In which the consumer signed the contract sued upon; or(B) In which the consumer resides at the commencement of the action.

(b) This subchapter does not create a cause of action by a debt collector.
