Costs of on-the-farm calfhood vaccinations

The costs of on-the-farm calfhood vaccination performed by the Department of Agriculture shall be paid from state or federal funds. Nothing in this section shall be construed to prohibit a livestock owner from contracting with and compensating a veterinarian for vaccinating his or her livestock. Veterinarians shall not charge both the livestock owner and the state government or United States Government for the same calfhood vaccination.
