Bleeding control training

Ark. Code Ann. § 6-10-133

(a) Beginning in the 2019-2020 school year, each public school shall provide bleeding control training as a component of a health course to be taught to students in grades nine through twelve (9-12).

(b) The State Board of Education, in consultation with the Department of Health, shall develop the bleeding control training required under this section using instructional materials developed or endorsed by the:(1) American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma;(2) National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians; or(3) Department of Health.

(1) American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma;

(2) National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians; or

(3) Department of Health.

(c) The Division of Elementary and Secondary Education may promulgate rules to enforce this section.
