(1) As used in this subchapter:(1) “Educational setting” means the employment setting where the licensed employee works, including without limitation:(A) A public or private school;(B) An institution of higher education;(C) An education service cooperative;(D) The Division of Elementary and Secondary Education;(E) An adult education setting; or(F) Another agency or organization that employs licensed teachers for educational purposes;(2) “Professional development” has the same meaning as the meaning given to the term under § 6-17-704; and(3) “Teaching experience” means the experience gained while working in an educational setting as a teacher, librarian, counselor, administrator, educational consultant, substitute teacher, or other licensed employee.
