(1) The State Board of Education is authorized, to the extent that funds are available for that purpose, and in cooperation with other appropriate agencies and organizations, to:(1) Conduct studies of methods for improving and expanding school lunch programs and promoting nutritional education in the schools;(2) Conduct appraisals of the nutritive benefits of school lunch programs; and(3) Report its findings and recommendations to the Governor and to the General Assembly.
