Components and goals of accelerated learning

Ark. Code Ann. § 6-5-1203

(a) Accelerated learning shall:(1) Provide accelerated learning content directors to work, mentor, and provide resources to accelerated learning teachers in the areas of:(A) Mathematics;(B) Science; and(C) English;(2) Provide nationally recognized professional development for accelerated learning teachers that will enhance the knowledge and pedagogical skills of the teachers; and(3) Develop and provide materials and resources for accelerated learning teachers.

(1) Provide accelerated learning content directors to work, mentor, and provide resources to accelerated learning teachers in the areas of:(A) Mathematics;(B) Science; and(C) English;

(2) Provide nationally recognized professional development for accelerated learning teachers that will enhance the knowledge and pedagogical skills of the teachers; and

(3) Develop and provide materials and resources for accelerated learning teachers.

(b) The overall goal of accelerated learning is to:(1) Increase the number of students enrolled in accelerated learning mathematics, science, and English;(2) Ensure school districts develop strong and successful accelerated learning for public high schools;(3) Enhance and augment accelerated learning policies and initiatives in Arkansas;(4) Provide accelerated learning in every public high school and strengthen its accelerated learning; and(5) Increase the number of students prepared to enter science, technology, engineering, and mathematics fields in higher education or related training and occupations.

(1) Increase the number of students enrolled in accelerated learning mathematics, science, and English;

(2) Ensure school districts develop strong and successful accelerated learning for public high schools;

(3) Enhance and augment accelerated learning policies and initiatives in Arkansas;

(4) Provide accelerated learning in every public high school and strengthen its accelerated learning; and

(5) Increase the number of students prepared to enter science, technology, engineering, and mathematics fields in higher education or related training and occupations.
