Sec. 8-239. Other powers of department or commissioner unaffected. Nothing in sections 8-228 to 8-239, inclusive, shall be construed to limit, restrict or derogate from any power, right or authority of the department or the commissioner existing under or pursuant to any other general statute or special act.
