Interest on obligations due; waiver

The department may collect interest at the rate established in s. 55.03 on all support obligations due and owing to the department; however, the department is not required to maintain interest balance due accounts, and said interest may be waived by the department if the waiver would facilitate the collection of the obligation.History.—s. 11, ch. 76-220; s. 149, ch. 86-220; s. 26, ch. 92-138.
