Without offering the same in evidence, either party may avail himself or herself of allegations or admissions made in the pleadings of the other. History. Code 1981, § 24-8-821, enacted by Ga. Former Code Section 24-3-30, which contained comparable provisions to this Code section, as effective January 1, 2013, was derived from the decisions in Wood v. Isom, 68 Ga. 417 (1882) and East Tenn., V. & Ga. Ry. v. Kane, 92 Ga. 187, 18 S.E. 18 (1893).
