(a) This chapter shall not be construed to prohibit a county or municipality from enacting any regulation of persons not licensed pursuant to this chapter. Any place of business where massage therapy for compensation is performed shall also be subject to any regulation by local governing authorities which elect to enact regulations in accordance with this chapter. (b) No provision of any ordinance enacted by a county, municipality, or other local jurisdiction that requires an individual professional license by such county, municipality, or local jurisdiction of a massage therapist may be enforced against a person who is issued a license by the board under this chapter.
