Applicability

Title 1 Guam Code Annotated § 1013.1, as provided above, shall apply only when the Guam Island Fair is held in a location other than the Hagåtña Paseo grounds. SOURCE: Added by P.L. 17-010:5 (June 14, 1983). 2014 NOTE: Although not codified, the location of the Liberation Day festivities has been addressed in the following public laws: P.L. 20-229:3 (Jan. 30. 1991) (“Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the Liberation Day festivities (except for the Liberation Day Parade) shall be held at Ypao Beach Park in the years 1991 and 1992.”) P.L. 21-136:IV:15 (Sept. 29, 1992) (“Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the Liberation Day Festivities (except for the Liberation Day Parade) shall be held at Ypao Beach Park.”) In light of these public laws, it is not clear whether there is legislative intent that this section be repealed by implication.
