Applicants for a license to practice respiratory therapy on Guam must complete and file an application with the Board. Applicants must have all of the following qualifications: (a) Licensed Registered Respiratory Therapist: (1) transcripts from an approved school of respiratory therapy, evidencing the successful completion of a two (2) year program, resulting in a minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy; (2) current certification as a RRT by the National Board for Respiratory Care; or (3) have obtained RRT status from the National Board for Respiratory Care prior to January 1, 2004. (b) Licensed Certified Respiratory Therapist or Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician: (1) transcripts from an approved school of respiratory therapy, evidencing the successful completion of a one (1) year program; and (2) current certification as a Certified Respiratory Therapist by the National Board for Respiratory Care; or (3) have obtained certification as a Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician by the National Board of Respiratory Care before July 1, 1999.
