No person shall purport to be a “social worker”, “Licensed Bachelor Social Worker”, “Licensed Master’s Social Worker”, “Licensed Clinical Social Worker”, or use the letters “S.W.”, “L.B.S.W.”, “L.M.S.W.”, or “L.C.S.W.”, in connection with the person’s name, or engage in the practice of social work as defined in this Article without meeting the applicable requirements and holding a license as set forth in this Article or holding a Certificate of Exemption from the Board. Exemption, the person is prohibited from using any of the letters indicated in this Section, irrespective of their job title.
