(a) In addition to the requirements set forth by the Board and in this Article, an applicant for a license to practice acupuncture and oriental medicine must have: (1) successfully completed a master’s or doctorate degree program, or its equivalent, program of study in acupuncture and oriental medicine at an accredited school in the United States of America; (2) passed an investigation of his or her background and personal history conducted by the Board; and (3) passed the examinations required in the following Section. (b) The applicant has: (1) successfully completed a four (4)-year program of study, or its equivalent as determined by the Board, in acupuncture and oriental medicine at a school or college of oriental medicine approved by the Board; (2) passed an investigation of his or her background and personal history conducted by the Board; and (3) passed the examinations required in the following Section.
