Exceptions Unnecessary: Objections Required;

8 GCA § 130.55 — under Appeals.

8 GCA § 130.55

Exceptions. Exceptions to rulings or orders of the court are unnecessary and for all purposes for which an exception has heretofore been necessary it is sufficient that a party at the time the ruling or order of the court is made or sought, makes known to the court the action which he desires the court to take or his objection to the action of the court and grounds therefor; but if a party has no opportunity to object to a ruling or order, the absence of an objection does not thereafter prejudice him. NOTE: Section 130.55 is identical to former Rule 51. See also Fed. R. Crim. P. 51 (same); former § 1259; Cal. Pen. Code § 1259 (substantively the same). See generally 8A Moore, Federal Practice && 51.01-51.02 (1974).
