17 GCA § 28205

Community College. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, Merit Award recipients are permitted to use their Merit Award benefits for attendance at the Guam Community College for their freshman and sophomore years. The University of Guam shall collaborate with the Guam Community College to ensure Merit Award recipients are fully aware of the timeline for graduation, the courses that are approved for transfer as cited in the various articulation agreements, and any procedures that need to be put in place for the use of Merit Award benefits at the Guam Community College. 2012 NOTE: P.L. 31-237:2 (Dec. 6, 2012) added Chapter 15A to Division 3 of Title 17, codified by the Compiler as new Chapter 28 of this title to avoid confusion that would arise from the identical numbering scheme in Articles 3A and 4A, Chapter 15, of this title. Article 3 of this new Chapter 28 governs the administration of the Jesus U. Torres Professional and Technical Awards after Award Year 2012-2013. Provisions in Chapter 15 remain in effect for Professional and Technical Awards granted in Award Year 2012- 2013 and prior.
