Sale of Safety Helmets

No person shall sell or offer for sale for use by an operator or passenger of a motorcycle, scooter or moped, or bicycle equipped with a motor, a helmet which is not of a type meeting the requirements established by the United States Department of Transportation. Anyone who violates this Section shall be guilty of a petty misdemeanor. SOURCE: Added by P.L. 24-002:3 (Mar. 16, 1997) as § 3306.
