Application of Article

This Article applies to a trust over which jurisdiction of the Superior Court continues after distribution, as provided in Section 3301 of this Title, and to any other trust to which the provisions of this Article are made applicable by statute or trust instrument. This Article shall not be construed to prevent the transfer of the place of administration of a trust or of trust assets to another jurisdiction in any case where judicial approval or a transfer was not required under law in effect immediately prior to the effective date of this Article. This Article shall not apply to any proceeding or action pending on the effective date of this Article. SOURCE: California Probate Code, § 1139.
