(a) The Attorney General may revoke a notarial commission on any ground for which an application for a notarial commission may be denied under 33201 of this Chapter. (b) Resignation or expiration of a notarial commission does not terminate or preclude an investigation into a notary’s conduct by the Attorney General, who may pursue the investigation to a conclusion, whereupon it must be made a matter of public record whether or not the findings would have been grounds for revocation.
